The Swedish furniture conglomerate, IKEA is holding its Suzhou Grand Opening on June 30th to celebrate the opening of its 17th store in China. The Swedish concern has opened on a 67,795-square-meter area in the Suzhou SND and hopes that Suzhou locals and expats alike will be excited about the prospect of buying its signature ready-to-assemble furniture, appliances and home accessories. Founded in Sweden in 1943 by the then 17 year-old Ingvar Kamprad, the company's acronym that consists of the initials of Ingvar Kamprad, Elmtaryd (the farm where he grew up), and Agunnaryd (his hometown in Småland, south Sweden) is a household name all over the world.
