China’s Bullet Train Network Longest in the World | 中国高铁网络全世界最长
China’s newest high-speed railway line has just opened. The new bullet train runs at speeds of up to 300kpm and links Zhengzhou, Henan Province with northeastern Jiangsu’s Xuzhou. The 360-km track connects China’s high-speed railway in the west with the two major north-south lines and significantly reduces travel time between the east and west of the country. Travelling from Xi'an to Shanghai was previously eleven hours and with the new line, will now be reduced to just six. The opening of this new line means that China's high-speed train network has now completed over 20,000 kms of track across the country, making it the longest bullet train network in the world.
