Qionglong Shan Scenic Zone is located in western Suzhou and the east coast of Taihu Lake. It crosses 3 towns in the Wuzhong District: Guangfu Town, Cangshu Town and Xukou Town. The main peak-Ruomao Feng is 341.7 meters high and it is the highest peak in Suzhou. In 2008, Qionglong Shan Scenic Zone was set up. Now it is an important part of the National 5A Scenic Spot – Suzhou Wuzhong Taihu Lake Scenic Area.
The area of the scenic zone is about 10.5 square kilometers and its forest coverage rate reaches 99%. More than 50 thousand negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter here, so it is known as the "Natural Oxygen Bar".
Qionglong Shan has a long history of more than 2000 years and riches in places of historic interest and scenic beauty, including politics, military, religion and culture. It is regarded as "The Wisdom Mountain". The ancient military strategist - Sun Tzu had lived here and wrote the first military book of China – Master Sun’s Art of War. There are many scenic zones: 12KM mountain road, Bird Paradise Aviary, Wanghu Yuan, Shangzhen Taoist Temple, Ningbang Temple, Royal Lake, Wanyue Tai, Dan Quan, Tiezhu Ting and more.
During the Spring Festival every year, annual temple fair will be held here. From mid-March, acres of cherry blossoms blooming at Qionglong Shan Scenic Zone.
