Baima Jian Park and Dragon Pond scenic spot are located southwest of Fengqiao Jiedao, Suzhou SND and have an area of 7 square kilometers. Baima Jian is the field where the Chinese king of Wu kept horses during the Chunqiu Zhanguo Period 2,500 years ago. The Dragon Pond area includes 3 ponds: Dragon Pond with a water area of 20,000 square meters; Feng Tan with 11,200 square meters and Baima jian Xijian with 10,000 square meters.
The scenic spot is well-known for Craspedacusta. Craspedacusta are the world’s rarest creatures and have a very long history of 550 million years. There are many other popular scenic spots in the area including Qianlong's royal road to the Dragon Pond (Qianlong was an emperor of the Qing dynasty), Jianshang Caotang, Xixin Quan, Yungu Feipu, Qionglong Yubei, Xunma Ting, Tiangong Shiyun, Shili Muzhan and more.
Every year in spring, mainly in March and May, there is an annual Tulip Festival. More than 100 thousand tulips and different species are on display at the Festival.
